I love taking images at events. I can get lost for hours watching the people, the performers and action. This last Sunday was World Peace Day. Sedona Arizona had it’s own celebration with music, entertainers, food, poetry and dance. Normally my business partner, Wib Middleton, would be leading the charge, taking images of the event. I received a text from Wib asking if I could cover this one while he was out of town. I’m on it!
The day could not have been better. Warm with a bit of humidity on it. Not that dry heat Arizona is known for. Drumming greeted my wife, Faith Barnard, and I as we arrived at Patio del Norte at Tlaquepaque, an arts and shops village in the heart of Sedona. Tuscan in style it makes a great place to do photography. Many do for wedding and engagement photo shoots.
Of course we met many folks we knew and soaked up the sunshine. My camera soaked up the rich and compelling images. I am sharing a few of my favorites. Edited with my impression of the capture.
