I love shooting live concerts. For me it has been fun and, so far, the bands have been great and easy to work with.
I got a call Sunday from my business partner in Small Planet Photography ,Wib Middleton, Sunday asking if I could shoot a concert Sunday night. He had too many things on his plate. Heck yes!
The job was to shoot some promotional shots for the band while they performed live at the Encore Theater in Sedona Arizona. I get to listen to great live music, get a front of theater and stage pass and do what I love best, take photographs. What could be better?
The Oak Creek Band is a Sedona Band that has now moved to Nashville and is getting noticed. Sedona was the second stop on a concert tour. Robin, mom of Jenna the lead female singer, was the one who put out the call for a photographer.
I had seem them perform a few years back, but was amazed (again) by their quality, song writing and tight band. Watch for them as I think they have what it takes to be one of the well know bands in the world.
Below is the album of images I provided to them. You might see these on flyers, their website and posters and more. I included both color and black and white versions so you can see the dramatic difference.
